You may notice that you need to use the bathroom more often, wake up during the night to urinate, or feel that your bladder fills again quickly.
Occasional frequent urination can happen after drinking a lot of fluids, caffeine, or certain medications. But if it becomes a repeated pattern, especially with thirst or fatigue, it should be checked.
2. Constant Thirst
Frequent urination can lead to fluid loss, and that may make you feel thirsty all the time. Some people drink water and feel thirsty again soon after. Others wake up with a dry mouth or feel unusually dehydrated.
This thirst is not always solved by simply drinking more. If the body continues losing fluid because of high blood sugar, the thirst can keep coming back.
Constant thirst can also be caused by salty foods, dry weather, mouth breathing, medication effects, or dehydration. But thirst combined with frequent urination is one of the classic warning patterns of diabetes.
