When You See These 4 Conditions While Walking, Be Alert for Diabetes

If you repeatedly notice the following four problems while walking, especially when combined with increased thirst, frequent urination, blurred vision, unexplained weight changes, or other diabetes symptoms, it may be worth discussing blood sugar testing with a healthcare professional.

## 1. You Become Unusually Tired After Walking

Feeling tired after a long walk is completely normal. What deserves more attention is a noticeable change in your endurance—for example, becoming unusually exhausted during activity that you previously managed comfortably.

Fatigue is one of the recognized symptoms of diabetes. When glucose regulation is disrupted, the body may not use energy as efficiently as it normally would.

However, fatigue is extremely nonspecific. Poor sleep, anemia, infections, thyroid disorders, heart or lung problems, dehydration, stress, medication side effects, and many other conditions can cause the same symptom.
